Datavariation Column
Definition
A Datavariation Column represents a single Test Suite Run or Test Case Run that will be executed with the attribute values and assert values that are shown.
Properties
Name | Description |

Name | The Name of the Datavariation Column. This will be shown throughout the Test Run Result pages to reference which Datavariation Column was executed. |
Description | The Description of the Datavariation Column. |
Business rules
It is not allowed to delete a Datavariation Column if there is only one.
Actions on Datavariation Column
Execute a single Datavariation Column
- Navigate to the Test Suite or Test Case Datavariations page.
- Click on in the column you want to Execute.
- Click " Execute".
- MTA will execute the Test Suite or Test Case once, for that single Datavariation Column.
Add a Datavariation Column
- Navigate to the Test Suite or Test Case Datavariations page.
- Click on in the column you want to duplicate.
- Click " Add duplicate".
Delete a Datavariation Column
- Navigate to the Test Suite or Test Case Datavariations page.
- Click on in the column you want to delete.
- Click " Delete".
Edit the Name and Description of a Datavariation Column
- Navigate to the Test Suite or Test Case Datavariations page.
- Click on in the column you want to edit.
- Click " Edit".
- Change the Name and Description.
- Save.
Change the order of a Datavariation Column
The left-to-right order of the Datavariation Columns represents the order in which they are executed.
- Navigate to the Test Suite or Test Case Datavariations page.
- Click on in the column you want to edit.
- Click " Shift right" to swap the position with the Datavariation Column on the right, or
- Click " Shift left" to swap the position with the Datavariation Column on the left.
