MTA MCP Server

Definition

The MTA MCP Server is an MCP Service that is enabled whenever MTA is running.

Agents are authenticated by a bearer token. Read more at Identification tokens.

Purpose

The MTA MCP Server enables any agentic AI assistant to read and write into Test Configurations, with the purpose of designing and executing tests, without having to use MTA in a webbrowser. Instead, you can tell the AI assistant to create Teststeps and execute them for you.

The MTA MCP Server comes with a list of MCP Tools, each with a dedicated purpose. Other than the MTA Public API, these MCP Tools can also be used to analyze or modify existing tests.

In order for the AI assistant to "understand" how MTA works, you need to make sure that the MTA Skills are being used. Without these skills, the AI assistant will not be able to use the MCP Tools effectively.
